Summertime Learning with Rock N Learn *Giveaway*
It’s that time of year once again, the time that we were excited for as kids, but as adults, not so much! It’s the end of the school year and time for summer vacation to start!!!
Besides fun vacations and activities, what else will you be doing? How many of you are positive you’ll hear the dreaded words “I’m Bored!” over and over again? Sometimes it’s hard keeping up with our kids all summer long and we’re always struggling to find things to do with them, but we also have to remember, sometimes everything can’t be all fun and games, sometimes we have to remember to keep their minds stimulated so they don’t forget everything they’ve learned all school year long.
That’s why I love the Rock N Learn Series of DVD’s. We use these during the school year but during spring break, summer vacation anytime there’s a long lapse of no school we use them as well.
They’re not boring old DVD’s that the kids are going to hate, they’re fun, interactive and something you’re children are going to want to watch!
Rock N Learn carries a variety of videos for Preschool – Kindergarten all the way up to kids aged 10 and up. There’s something for everyone, from reading to phonics, test strategies to math, science and even other languages. There’s a video for everything and they’re all FUN!
We received the Reading Comprehension DVD which helps students learn to read and prepare for tests. You all know about the standardized testing that goes on in school and how stressed out it can make students and teachers alike, well the Reading Comprehension DVD helps students learn to stay calm and relaxed as well as give them the tools they’ll need to 
succeed. Marko the Pencil is the star of the show who gives students tips to keep them on task. He guides them by teaching them how to read passages, find key words and determine the best answer for their tests.
The Reading Comprehension DVD isn’t just for standardized testing though, they’re great tips to keep kids calm and how to ace just about any test they’ll encounter while in school. This DVD is for grades 2-4 and is approximately 46 minutes long.
Not only are the Rock N Learn DVD’s a hit in our home with my kids, but also in my children’s school as well. My daughter has brought them to class numerous times and her teacher just loves them for the kids, and the kids watch and listen as well as participate without any questions asked!
