Looking for some summer ‘staycation’ ideas, or maybe something that the whole family can enjoy that’s just a short drive away? How about something a little different for once, maybe something like dinner and a show?
Maybe something like Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament!
I’ve heard about Medieval Times from a ton of people, saying how much they enjoyed it, how much their kids liked it, but we’ve never been. Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament is a dinner theater of sorts where you get a meal, and time to watch a tournament all like you may have in the middle ages.
Dinner consists of oven roasted chicken, garlic bread, tomato bisque soup, herb-roasted potato, spare rib, pasry of the castle and select non-alcoholic beverages. For vegetarians there are vegetarian meals upon request. While I haven’t tried the dinner just yet, what I do know is that you eat totally with your hands, no utensils at all! Sounds FUN!
During your dinner, you’ll watch a tournament with men dressed up in Medieval gear while riding hourses and battling each other, you’ll also receive colored crowns, and flags to cheer on the Knight which will be fighting for the section your seated in.
Medieval Times sounds like a great experience for the entire family, something a little out of the norm and something you’re kids will always have memories of. We’ll be heading to the Toronto Ontario castle in July, so be sure to check out my full review after we’ve made our visit.
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament castles are also located in Atlanta, GA, Baltimore/Washington, D.C., Buena Park, CA, Chicago, IL , Dallas, TX, Lyndhurst, NJ, Myrtle Beach, SC, Toronto ON, and Orlando, FL .
