Ahh summertime! Bring on the camping, the family vacations and the fun! Last year we decided to take a trip out to the east cost of the US and Canada with my parents and best friend. What a trip that was, 2 weeks with a small trailer and a tent, with my parents and my kids…. Not sure if we’ll do that again! But we did have a blast!
It seems though, that the outdoors brings out the ‘silly’ in not only my own children but the adults included because me and my best friend found so many ways to make my kids do silly things just for the camera.
Take for instance, taking my WWE towel hanging it up on a clothes line and cutting the head off of John Cena and then placing my oldest behind the towel.
I think we took a million different pictures of her doing this, she was laughing the entire time and got a kick out of it, we were acting about her age but it was so much fun!
Then, funny for us, but bad parenting on my part I guess you can say! While out in New Brunswick we were shopping around and came across some old school candy. Candy we remember when we were about my girls ages, candy that makes you say, I can’t believe my parents let me eat that… Candy like Popeye Candy Cigarettes. Yea, not a good choice mommy! But it’s the nostalgic memories that had me buy them for my kids. We head back to the campground, have dinner and my girls decide they want some of their candy.
Leave it to the adults to be at it again! Check out my youngest enjoying her ‘candy’.
Yup, bad mommy! It was so funny though! She thought she was being hilarious because we were just laughing so hard at her, especially since she crossed her legs all on her own without our instruction.
Last summer will always be a lasting memory in my mind, as well as my girls, they keep asking if we can go back out there. I could probably find about a million more ‘funny’ photos of my girls during this trip, we just had a blast with them! When you take the normal daily stress, work, electronics etc. out of the day, you appreciate just how fun your kids can be!
