One of my favorite things to do at Christmas is to stuff stockings! I love finding stocking stuffers and unique items to fill up the stockings with. Everyone’s surprise when opening them up. In fact I think I like stocking stuffers better than actual gifts sometimes.
If you’re looking to fill your families stockings with something a little out of the norm as well I want to introduce you to the website Uncommon Goods.
Not only do they give you a wide variety of great gifts for just about anyone, they have the perfect ‘uncommon’ items you might not find in big box stores for your holiday shopping.
Do you have a little construction worker on your shopping list? I do, and I think this would be the perfect gift for my cousins little son, check out the Construction Plate here – http://www.uncommongoods.com/product/construction-plate-utensils.
Lay out the blueprints of healthy eating and make every meal a construction site of creativity with this fun plate and set of equipment-inspired utensils (sold separately). With the bulldozer pusher, fork lift, and front loader spoon, your little builder will always be excited to clean his or her plate. Designed with function and play value in mind, these pieces feature textured, easy-to-grip handles and are lightweight, yet rugged.
Featured in Alaska Airlines magazine. Created by a husband-and-wife team, whose son loved construction so much that he asked for Cheerios to use for rubble instead of eating. Made in U.S.A.
For the adult on your list, maybe someone with a bar in their home? I have the perfect solution, this would be a great gift for my brother, Whiskey Stones – http://www.uncommongoods.com/product/whiskey-stones-gift-set.
Skip the ice; Serve your drinks on the rocks.
These innovative soapstone cubes were designed by Andrew Hellman, a big fan of single malt scotch, who wanted to chill his spirits without diluting them. After much research, he came up with the idea of using natural soapstone to chill drinks due to its softness (won’t scratch the glass) and its unique ability to retain temperature for extended periods of time. Milled in Perkinsville, Vermont by the oldest soapstone workshop in the United States.
Simply chill the stones. Add three to your next drink, let stand for five minutes and enjoy. Sold as a set of nine.
Myself though, I’ve been having a great time browsing around and looking for the best stocking stuffers, and from uncommon goods, I’ve found some, especially for hubby. I’m not going to list off my favorites since he does read my blog, but make sure you check out their stocking stuffer section, you’ll be surprised what you can find and whoever you give them too will be pleasantly surprised as well, not receiving the same old kind of thing. Check out Uncommon Goods for more ideas: http://www.uncommongoods.com/holiday/christmas/stocking-stuffers.
