Send “Cheer” To Military Families

There are so many families this time of year who are missing one (or more) important component of a happy holiday season. It could be their spouse, significant other, mom or dad. Maybe it’s an aunt, uncle or cousin. No matter who it is, some of these families are missing another family member while they’re overseas fighting for our freedom. This is the time of year when we should be showing them our support ten times over!

Cheerios believes that as well, so they’ve started the Cheerios Cheer program as a way to spread cheer to military families and support USO programs.

Throughout November you’ll find specially marked packages of Cheerios that will have a Cheer postcard right on the front of the box. All you have to do is purchase a box of Cheerios, cut the postcard out of the box, and write a special message of thanks.

Get your children involved, show them how special these troops and families are to everyone, and how important it is to think of others this time of year. Write a special message, get your kids to draw pictures and sign their names, make it a family event! Once your done, add your stamp on the pre-addressed postcards and send them off, the USO will deliver all the Cheer cards to military families across the country.

Not only will you bring a smile to someone’s face but for every postcard mailed Cheerios will be donating $1 to the USO through November 30th, 2012. The USO also intends to donate up to an additional $100,000 based on the number of postcards received.

Not only is Cheerios a great choice for breakfast but now it’s also a great choice for your heart and mind this holiday season by showing appreciation to others, you’d be surprised how much it means to some.

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Cheerios and received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to post.
