I got this recipe from a friend of mine Cheryl the other day. With the holidays you always think dessert, but sometimes you just don’t have the time. I wanted to whip this up quickly last night for dessert with dinner to see how it was as I was thinking of making this with Christmas dinner.
This recipe was SUPER easy, and because it uses angel food cake as it’s base it’s lighter than a lot of other desserts. Granted, this isn’t pretty looking, I’ll ‘dress it up’ some more for Christmas.
Easy Holiday Cake
1 box of prepared peanut brittle (I used a couple of Heath Bars instead since I couldn’t find peanut brittle quickly enough)
1 tub of whipped topping (I used light whipped topping)
1 store-bought angel food cake (used a sugar free angel food cake)
Smash up peanut brittle or heath bars into small pieces and mix into whipped topping. Spread onto angel food cake. Decorate with sprinkles on top. Chill.
Yield: 12 servings
See, SUPER easy!! It was also very light and delicious!
