Cyber Monday was a hit this year, in fact sales were up 20% since last year! But, when you’re thinking of the holidays, holiday shoppers aren’t the only people taking advantage of those sales online. A lot of brides are planning, shopping and registering online these days, and this time of year is one of the busier times for weddings.
Technology is playing a major hand in planning a wedding these days. Brides (and Grooms) are creating wedding websites where they can share their story, details about the wedding and photos. You can a lot of times also view videos, RSVP for the wedding directly on the site, and even find their online registry. Brides can sync their documents such as guest lists, schedules and addresses right on her smart phone!
What a lot of brides are also doing is finding the latest styles and ideas online as well, and when finding those ideas, they’re also finding vendors via blogs, social media and other websites. They’re finding photographers via word of mouth from places like Facebook, or getting recommendations for beautiful yet cheap wedding invitations on blogs. You’d be surprised where a lot of referrals for wedding business is coming from.
A lot of couples are also doing online registries. It’s much more convenient for not only the couples who are strapped for time, but for their guests as well. Plus if you have out of town people coming, they no longer need to carry their gift with them to the wedding, they can simply ship the items directly to you.
Although the tradition still reigns supreme, it’s time to think outside the box when it comes to planning your wedding, with technology, there’s many ways to ease the stress of planning a wedding these days.
