Summer Is For Reading

With summer time practically here, I often take the time to sit down and actually read. I don’t get to do it much any other time, but something about sitting outside, in the sun, relaxing getting a tan with a good book or magazine, just seems right.

It’s really hard for me to get into books, for instance, I just read Fifty Shades of Gray, and personally I didn’t like it. It didn’t live up to the ‘hype’ for me, I found it boring with horrible writing, but that’s just me. I do however LOVE reading magazines, I can’t even tell you how many subscriptions I have, how do I get them all? Easy. Online!

Online is probably one of the best places to search for magazine subscriptions, you can often find FREE subscriptions online, as well as cheaper/sale subscription prices for magazines. If you search around enough you’ll find all magazine prices from the highest price, to the lowest price and be able to compare and get the best price for your favorite magazine and have it delivered right to your home.

So take the time right now before summer officially hits us, get your subscriptions in, and before you know it you’ll be lounging around outside, getting that perfect tan, having a yummy drink, and catching up on the latest with your face in one of your favorite magazines. I’m ready for summer, are you?

Girl I love to read. But I am both a book and movie snob so while I’m open to reading SOME popular fiction I generally turn my nose up at them.

I just finished Lolita, Peyton Place, and The Deep. Next on my list is Rabbit Run and Black Skin, White Masks.

I didn’t make it past page 10 of Fifty Shades of Gray. The writing was AWFUL. I just don’t understand the hype, unless it’s based on hundreds of thousands of women feeling like it’s now mainstream to read porn? Eh. I’d rather buy mine in brown paper wrappers, thanks.

As far as summer reading, I like mine brainless but fun. I just started Kim Harrison’s “Madison Avery” series. Fun, but not at all deep, stuff.
