Being home this summer has meant a lot of TV watching, at least during the day, more than I normally do. Currently we have a local cable provider, and when I say local, I mean local. It’s the only one in town, so we have a choice of them, or to go with either of the satellite companies. Initially we chose the cable company because it was cheaper, so we thought….
We’re actively doing some price comparisons on cable (as we just got a new provider in the city) and the different satellite companies around town. We’ve had Dish Network in the past, and really liked it so it’s a go to when I’m doing my shopping around. However, Dish now has some different things going on that makes me double take.
They now have the Dish Network Hopper which is their new DVR service and has the capability to watch both live and recorded programs from ANY TV in the house, for us this is great, because we have a few TV’s that aren’t currently hooked up with any sort of cable. With the Hopper you can also share recordings between any high definition TV in the home.
Not only do they offer the Hopper but very competitive packages as well. Dish Network Packages give the consumer a variety of options for just about anyone’s budget. Get the channels you WANT rather then the channels you have to have!
Like I said, right now we’re comparison shopping but we are highly leaning towards going back to Dish Network as the rates right now are so competitive and our own cable company changed their rates and packages.
What do you have at home? Satellite or Cable? What’s your preference?
