Hoover WindTunnel Air Bagless Vacuum – it sucks, to a point.

I have been in DESPERATE need of a vacuum for quite a while now, so when the Hoover WindTunnel Air Bagless Vacuum arrived on my doorstep, it was almost embarassing how excited I was about a vacuum!

The first thing I noticed was the weight. Compared to my older Hoover, the Hoover WindTunnel Air Bagless Vacuum was SO LIGHT! Even my kids could carry it around. With a weight of 12.4 pounds I think it’s one of the lightest vacuums I’ve ever had besides my stick vac.

I took it out of the box, and away I went with vacuuming the house. The reclining handle lets you clean under furniture easily. I was frustrated with the attachment tool and hose. I still haven’t been able to get it to work properly, I wish it was a little easier to use than it is, and the instruction booklet doesn’t help very much in giving you the instructions on exactly how to attach it and have it suction at all.

One thing I can rave about is the suction that the actual vacuum gives you, it’s amazing! Sometimes it’s a little too much suction, especially when turning on and using the brush, I do find it a little hard to manuver on some of my rugs and have to turn the brush off in order to use it properly.

Because the vacuum is on the smaller side, the bagless canister does need to be emptied a lot, but that’s not a huge deal to me and it’s super easy to empty.

I do have a complaint about the cord. Although the length is great (30”) the Hoover WindTunnel Air Bagless Vacuum does not have an auto retractable cord, it has to be wrapped around the back of the vacuum, which I hate!

I find that the Hoover WindTunnel Air Bagless Vacuum overall is a good choice. It’s better than my older model Hoover, it fits nicely in the closet, the suction is great and it’s lightweight. It also does work on hard wood, laminate and carpeted flooring very well. With the only downsides to me being the cord, and the hose attachment, overall it’s probably one of my favorite lower priced vacuums to date.

I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review, but my opinions are entirely my own.
