I’m a chocoholic, I’ll admit it. I have a REALLY hard time not indulging in it, but I do have to watch what I decide to eat, even if it does taste yummy, most of the time it’s just not good for you.
I was recently introduced to a line of products named UNREAL candy, their motto? To unjunk junk food! I’m up for that challenge, and honestly, I wasn’t looking to be impressed, think about it, unjunked junk food? Candy that has better ingredients than usual? It can’t possibly taste good.
Once I unboxed our package of UNREAL candy, of course we had to dig in… I must say.. IMPRESSED!! All of us in the family! I couldn’t wait to share the goodies with the rest of my friends and family!
UNREAL candy is the bright idea of Nicky Bronner, a kid who was determined to prove that he could unjunk candy. Him and Adam Melonas got together to bring UNREAL products to consumers. All of the UNREAL products are made with wholesome ingredients, they have more fiber and more protein than regular candy, and all the dairy used comes from free-range, pasture-raised cows who are not filled with antibiotics or added hormones. Any palm kernel oil that is used comes from an organic farm in Brazil, and the cacao beans come from farms in Ghana and Ecuador that do not employ child slave labor. Besides the fact that the candy is AMAZINGLY good, UNREAL wants to also take the extra step with their candy by doing the right thing for the plant and the people who live on it.
I was able to introduce these candies to some family and friends in a small get together we had over the weekend. I did not mention to them the ‘good facts’ about the Unreal Candy until I was sure everyone had tried something. Once I did, everyone was socked and impressed at how GOOD the candy was!
Classroom parties, Halloween, and other holidays are on the way, why not hand out some candies that are better for you than a typical candy bar? The retail price is the same, so all you’re doing is helping yourself or kids be a little healthier… It’s the small steps….
UNREAL candies are free of corn syrup, have no hydrogenated oil, no artificial flavors, no GMO’s and no synthetic colors. They also have 30% less sugar, 60% more protein and 250% more fiber per serving on average compared to the leading competing brands.
The variety is also great. UNREAL candy gives you the variety of the following items:
Candy Coated Chocolate with Peanuts (42 grams)
* 200 calories, 16 grams of sugar, 11 grams of total fat, 5 grams saturated fat, 20 grams of carbs, 3 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein per serving

Peanut Butter Cups (36 grams)
* 190 calories, 11 grams of sugar, 12 grams of total fat, 6grams saturated fat, 18 grams of carbs, 3 grams of fiber, 5 grams of protein per serving
I can’t even believe that these candies passed the test of EVERYONE including the kids, they were SO GOOD and it was nice to see lower in calories as well! I’m so glad I was able to share them because I was afraid I’d eat them all up myself!
I also love that UNREAL candy isn’t any more expensive than any other candy bar out there, and they’re available in 18,000 stores nationwide, including CVS, Walgreens and Kroger, and will be available in more than 30,000 retailers by mid Fall, with suggested retail prices ranging from $.89 to $1.29 for individual bars and $4.99 for the family sized bags.
I’d like to thank UNREAL for allowing me to host a get together with my friends and family and introducing their candies to us. It’s amazing what can be done when you just want to unjunk something, it CAN still taste great!
