#WWE and the Diva’s Division, We Want To Hear Your Thoughts!

WWE Survivor Series was last night, a pretty good pay per view, however, I don’t want to talk much about that today. What I do want to talk about is the WWE Diva’s division. How much do you know about the WWE Diva’s? Who’s your favorite?

Currently, I don’t really have a favorite Diva. What I wish WWE would start doing is having a women’s wrestling division instead of just a “Diva” division because that’s what 90% of the women on WWE are…Diva’s! I’ve seen some growth through the years, and with the WWE going more ‘family friendly’ thank goodness they’ve for the most part taken away the over sexual lingerie matches, bikini matches etc.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with women being sexy, however, there’s no real ‘role model’ for girls in wrestling once the WWE gets their hands on them. Gail Kim, Chyna, Mickie James, Victoria, Kharma, Trish Stratus, and now Beth Phoenix. All amazing women wrestlers, all no longer with the WWE. Instead they keep the ‘pretty’ they keep the girls that they want to turn into wrestlers instead of keeping on board the women that ARE wrestlers!

On the current roster, you have Eve, who’s been training and is getting better, but she’s really not a wrestler! You have Tamina and Natayla who get no ring time, or recognition that they deserve. AJ, she can wrestle, but how much wrestling have you seen her do lately?  Even with the women that can actually wrestle, they always take them and find a way to sexualize them instead of showing their strengths and talents.

WWE please listen to the girls, the women who watch wrestling, we WANT to see women wrestle! We need powerful, strong role models for young girls!  They can look sexy and still work in the ring, take a look at your developmental girls, keep them wrestlers once you call them up! It’s sad to see you gain the talent that you do, and then just drop them by the wayside because they’re wrestlers instead of being sex objects. Ask the men, I’m sure they’d appreciate more Diva’s matches that show actual wrestling talent instead of just seeing T and A all the time….

What are your thoughts on the Diva’s division? I’d love to hear them, comment below and you’ll have a chance to win a WWE T-Shirt, then join us later today for a #WWEMoms Twitter party to talk more about the Diva’s division.

  1. Katrina Says:

I’m with you. Pretty is all well and good, but even my boys comment about how the women we’re seeing right now can’t really wrestle. Give us more actual wrestling and maybe a little less diva drama.

  2. Samantha Mouer Says:

I would LOVE LOVE TO WIN!!!!!

  3. Jared Weiss Says:

Kharma was by far the most anticipated diva there was. I think the divas division needs someone like her. Hopefully she will be back one day. Other than that I think they need to make certain divas look more dominating so a loss is more of a wow factor.

  4. Kati Says:

My hubby said that unfortunately, the most women games are sexualized and it isn’t about the wrestling itself. I’m not into this kind of sports but I could picture myself that it’s sad but true.

  5. Christian Alejandro N. Says:

I do agree that the drama and distractions are laid on heavy, but I see that it’s heading the right direction. I hope they keep it up!
