A few days ago you may have seen a post I wrote about wanting to get back to the gym. I still do, but then the financial part of my brain kicks in, and asks me could it be a waste of money?
I already pay for Zumba, I do DDPYoga at home, I have a Total Gym in my basement that I use. Do I really need to pay for a gym membership as well? Could I just get away with purchasing gym equipment and creating my own home gym in my basement?
It’s options I need to weigh in on. How much could I save myself by shelling out money now, creating an investment and finding some wholesale gym equipment?
Would I use the equipment at home?
My answer, probably not. From what I’ve found out about myself, is if I have to go somewhere to workout or weigh in, I do a whole lot better sticking to my routine, to my goals. I don’t know what it is about being home, maybe I’m more comfortable, maybe I just find too many excuses and other things to do instead of working out. Especially in the basement, I can see the laundry that has to be done, I can see other housework that I need to do. Put off my workout to help the kids with something.
Excuse after Excuse is what I’ll find at home, so maybe a home gym isn’t for me. Is it for you? Where do you workout? Would you rather do it in the gym or at home with your own equipment?
