I’m Sick Of Being Me….My Walk To A Healthier Better Me!

I’ve done it to myself, and I can’t do it anymore. I vowed to be healthier this year, and lately I’ve been slacking off. I’m trying to loose weight, I’ve been trying for years, and it comes off and then I pack back on the pounds again. It makes me feel awful not only because I look horrible, but it makes me feel horrible as well.

Exercising, eating healthier, eating cleaner I have honestly found helps me 7330775-weight-loss-concept-for-a-healthy-lifestyletremendously not only to look better, but to feel better overall, both physically and mentally. The fast food, the junk food, the over processed foods, they make me feel fat, they make me feel tired, and I feel depressed after I’ve eaten them. I NEED TO CHANGE!  I WANT TO CHANGE!!

I say that a lot, but I came to the realization this past weekend that I HAVE to change, and I AM GOING to change and my first step to doing that is today. Today marks the first day of the healthier life I want to live in order to live. I’m going to eat cleaner, eat healthier and make sure that my family does too, I really don’t ever want my daughters to grow up and feel the same way that I do on a daily basis, and if I change their habits now, they can look forward to a strong, healthy future of their mind and bodies.

Grocery shopping this past weekend was a lot of fruits and veggies, some organic snacks and meat. I think the only real thing I splurged on was some cheese sticks. Today, it’s time to get some supplements and vitamins, which I never take, and I need to. I’m actually going to find some online, I’ve seen to found the best prices there rather than in the stores. I’d also like to do a 5K, now I’m not going to run it, but a walk. I have bad ankles and running would kill me right now, maybe in a year or two, but a walk I can do, so I’ll be looking for some 5K’s to register for starting this week as well.

Do you run or walk in marathons at all? Do you have any advice or preparation tricks you can pass off to me and others? I’ve seen places like www.blackswanosteopathy.com who are there to help with those who need movement help, I wonder if going to an osteopathy place would be worth the time to check out for my bad ankles?

All I know is I need to start, and I need to start TODAY! DDP Yoga, Zumba and I will be going back to the gym, which I’m actually going to go to today to check out a few different ones to see what I like. I could go back to my old gym, but I’d like to look at the other options around town. Anyone ever work out at a Fitness 19, Planet Fitness or Urban Active? I’d love to hear your opinions.

So, wish me luck…. My first step is getting more active, and eating better. My one weakness is the scale, I get obsessed with it, so that’s going to be my step next week, to step on that thing… Baby steps to a healthier life!
