It’s HERE!!! Halloweekends at Cedar Point are underway until November 1st. This is one of my favorite times of year to visit Cedar Point. The weather is great, it’s not too hot, not too cold, and it’s a change from the normal amusement park atmosphere.
Of course you have the normal thrills of Cedar Point, all the regular rides and roller coasters you’d be able to ride during the normal months, but now, the park is decorated to spook and scare young and old. When my kids were younger, they loved to partake in dressing up in their Halloween costumes and visiting camp snoopy, and the monster parade. This year, we had a special treat of being able to trick or treat in the children’s midway area.
The girls are still a bit young for the haunted houses, maybe next year. But if you’re kids are into that sort of thing, visiting the asylum or the Bayou would be a great spot!
During the day is probably the best thing about HalloWeekends for the little ones. Kids can check out Howl-O-Palooza that includes a cornstalk and hay bale maze, mask making, a pumpkin patch, pony rides and more! You’ll also be able to check out the Monster Midway Invasion Celebration which is a parade for the kids that run every Saturday and Sunday at 5pm, they can also visit the Magical House on Boo Hill!
For some of the older kids, there’s the new Hexed haunted house, Zombie High School, Eden Musee Chamber of Horrors and Wax Museum, nautical scare zone, cut throat cove and a really cool show called the Skeleton Crew!
For those who enjoy the more terrifying things, Cedar Point comes alive at night, where scary zombies and creeps walk throughout the midways, fog is present as well as live musical shows like Midnight Syndicate!
Through the day, you can notice costumes and characters roaming through the midway, scary, but not too scary for the little ones who enjoy the day. The decorations and mood is right on point for Halloween in the most appropriate ways!
Enjoy the last of the season with Cedar Point and HalloWeekends!
