We’re a family of travelers, or well….Maybe it’s just me who’s the big one on traveling and my family just seems to follow behind. On a normal trip you’ll find myself, my hubby and my two girls, but this time it’s different. This time I got some me time, and planned a girls trip for a weekend!
Headed to Florida with the girls! We left Toledo on Friday and were returning Monday. No kids, no husbands, just the girls!
Our first stop for the weekend was to check into the hotel. We were extremely lucky to have a stay for two nights at the beautiful Renaissance Orlando Sea World Resort. We knew we were getting the Parlor Suite and were so excited simply from the photos online.
Thinking that it’s the official Sea World hotel, I was hoping it wasn’t going to be swimming full of kids and families. This was an adult girls weekend away, I left my kids at home and didn’t want to deal with anyone else’s, you’d also expect to see Sea World galore all over the hotel, but besides the attractions desk, that’s the only place we saw Sea World mentioned.
Upon our arrival, we had the choice of valet or self parking. We weren’t sure exactly what we were going to do, so we just parked in the front and headed in with our bags, we figured check in, then decide. Valet parking is $27.00 a day, and self parking is $20. We decided to self park.
We come to find that not only did we have the Parlor Suite but also the adjoining room.
Walking through the atrium lobby we didn’t see any kids acting crazy, screaming babies nothing, this hotel was simply beautiful and quiet! Great for a girls weekend away but also looked like a great place for families as well! With beautiful seating, artwork, an indoor water fall, and signs for kid activities they thought of everything. You would also see a Starbucks, Frozen Yogurt place, a sushi bar, sports bar and restaurant. We were highly impressed and we haven’t even got to our rooms yet!
Once we went up to our floor in the glass elevator, we opened the door, and our jaws dropped! That was just in the adjoining room which featured 2 queen beds, a beautiful bathroom, flat screen TV. The room also had a mini refrigerator and coffee tea service. That room alone was stunning! Once we opened the door to the suite, we were speechless!
The Parlor suite was HUGE! It was the size of a small apartment, not a hotel room. With a King size bed, and a huge sectional sofa that also pulled out into a bed, the room also had a small refrigerator, coffee/tea service, a beautiful huge bathroom with double vanities. In the room you would also find a large desk, as well as a huge dining table and chairs, as well as a beautiful color scheme and a large flat screen TV mounted to the wall. This room was just beautiful! We had a beautiful view as well. For the four of us girls, these rooms were more than enough for 2 nights!
After we settled in, we decided to take a walk around the hotel and it’s grounds that night to see what they had to offer. We found a gift shop that was basically a small store, an arcade, various ballrooms and halls. We also ventured outside to be greeted by beautiful fire pits with seating, and into the pool grounds where there was an amazing pool, lots of seating and beautifully lit gazebos on the grounds. We were in awe!
This was only our first night, we had just checked in….What would we do in the morning?
Stay tuned for the rest of our Orlando Florida Girls Weekend Getaway that will feature more about the Renissance Orlando at Sea World, The Blue Man Group, Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food at Universal CityWalk and Capone’s Dinner Show!
