WWE is one of the biggest supporters of community, with the many events, and partnerships they already have with so many great causes, it’s surprising that they have the time or energy to partner up with even more.
WWE and Special Olympics have announced an international partnership with the Play Unified campaign. This campaign will unite people and communities through the power and joy of sports.
You will see WWE Superstars participating in various Play Unified events with Special Olympics athletes from around the world. In fact today WWE opened their performance center doors to Special Olympics athletes who got a great workout and had fun with many WWE Superstars.
Going forward, WWE will be utilizing platforms such as WWE Network, TV, Live Events and Social Media to generate awareness and support for Special Olympics.
WWE has always had a love for the Special Olympics and their athletes dating back to a partnership in the 1995 World Games in New Haven, Connecticut as well as last year with the 2015 Special Olympics World Games in LA.
Visit the WWE Facebook page to see photos and live shots taken today while Special Olympics made their visit to the Performance Center. To read more about the partnership and learn about the Play Unified campaign, visit www.specialolympics.org and www.playunified.org.
