Tapout and the WWE Total Divas – Health and Fitness #WWEMoms

Written by lyricsmama on September 4, 2016 – 2:21 PM -

So, here it is…I’ve been on this new fitness journey for a while, and workout clothes are normally just some capri’s and an oversized t-shirt, normally you’ll find me in a WWE shirt of some sort. But as the journey goes, I’ve been trying to find some cute pieces to wear to the gym and my workouts.

20160819_162944

WWE recently released that they had teamed up with Tapout for fitness gear, excited as HECK!! The WWE women had been wearing some super cute Tapout outfits in the ads, and in photo shoots, I couldn’t wait to get some. Finally, after weeks and weeks of being upset that there was no women’s gear, WWE announced that JC Penny’s would FINALLY have gear available for women!! Unless you live where I do, and as I ran out that day, my store doesn’t carry it. So, sad. I tried to order online, but my size was sold out with the pieces I wanted. Devastated!!! I’m sure I’ll get some pieces soon, I hope. But my sadness was turned into joy when I was just about to embark to New York City for the weekend, to check something off my bucket list.

workout1

I was invited to go workout at the Tapout Fitness Center in New York with none other than some of the WWE Total Divas! This would be a DREAM come true. So, off I went, on a weekend away and excited as heck for this workout.

We arrived at the Tapout Fitness Center and were greeted by the Tapout center staff, who were very nice and accommodating. The center itself was a few floors high, and the equipment available, I wanted to play on all of it, but it was all pushed to the side to make room for this amazing workout.

workout2

Mats setup, gliders, dumbbells, water bottles, towels and we picked our spot, of course, I had to run right to the front of the gym.

We would be working out with WWE Superstars Renee Young, Alicia Fox, Natalya, Naomi, Lana, Summer Rae, Alexa Bliss and special guest Maria Menounos who would be talking to us about fitness and her new books about her journey of losing 40 lbs.

Our workouts were mini sessions guided by each WWE Superstar and they gave us a workout, and a sweat, I LOVED IT! I’d have to say, my favorite workouts were probably Nattie’s, Naomi’s and Alexa’s. I took A LOT of video, so if you check out my YouTube page, you’ll see the majority of them there.

After our great workout, we were able to take part in a Q&A session with the ladies where we learned alot about their fitness and nutritional routines.

After our workout and session, I was able to talk to all of the WWE Superstars and get some great advice from Natalya and Alexa Bliss about fitness, I couldn’t be happier about the time I had in NYC with them.

Me and WWE Superstars

Maria Menounos talked a lot about her struggle with nutrition and fitness and now has 2 books available for purchase The Everygirl’s Guide to Cooking and The Everygirl’s Guide to Diet and Fitness. Both books are great, and the recipes are amazing, a must have to add to your collection.

If you noticed, all of the WWE Women were also wearing some super cute Tapout gear! You can purchase outfits online or by visiting your nearest JC Penny’s.

It’s the Wrestlemania of summertime! That’s right, it’s time for WWE SummerSlam coming up next month (August), but first, there’s a very important event going on the Thursday before.

WWE, Barclays Center and iHeartMedia have announced that there will be a SummerSlam concert, the first WWE has ever done with SummerSlam, and it will take place on Thursday, August 18th at 7pm ET at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The special thing about this SummerSlam concert, isn’t just the concert itself, but that proceeds from ticket sales will be benefiting Connor’s Cure!

There will also be special appearances by your favorite WWE Superstars. Tickets will go on sale THIS FRIDAY, July 29th, at 12 pm ET via Ticketmaster.com.

Connor’s Cure was created by Stephanie McMahon and Paul Lavesque as a fund to help the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburg Foundation that supports pediactric brain and spinal cord cancer research. It was created in honor of an 8 year old WWE fan, Connor Michalek who was a patient at the time and battled with a rare tumor that affected both his brain and spinal cord. You can learn more about Connor’s Cure here. This past year, WWE and The V Foundation partnered up to expend Connor’s Cure outside of just the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburg Foundation and now supports pediatric cancer research nationally.

The WWE SummerSlam Concert is just ONE of many things going on during WWE’s week long fan centered events before SummerSlam on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 7pm ET at the SOLD-OUT Barclays Center as well as live on WWE Network.

Smackdown Live Tuesdays on USA

This Tuesday July 19th SMACKDOWN will be LIVE on air on the USA Network!! It’s not just a one time event either, this is where Smackdown is moving to permanently. Tuesday’s every week beginning July 19 from 8-10pm ET you’ll be able to watch Smackdown LIVE on USA Network.

This means that USA Network will now offer five hours of LIVE WWE programming a week!! This includes WWE Monday Night Raw (Mondays from 8-11pm ET) and now Smackdown (Tuesdays from 8-10pm ET). Each show will feature different superstars and unique storylines with their own dedicated writing team.

Bringing Smackdown to a live format brings a new level of excitement to those watching LIVE on television, but also for those fans attending the shows live themselves.

Sasha Banks Draft Pick Xavier Woods Draft Pick

This coming Tuesday July 19th will be the very FIRST Smackdown LIVE televised show, and this also will include the very first LIVE WWE Draft so we find out which shows some of our favorite superstars will be placed on. Will some tag teams break up and be spread around Raw and Smackdown or will they stay together? Will the champ Dean Ambrose stay on RAW or be moved over to Smackdown? Will any of the champions stay where they are or move to a new show? Will there be a possibility of a new championship belt so there is one on each brand?

Questions as fans we all have! We’ll find out what the future holds for both RAW and SMACKDOWN this Tuesday July 19th at 8pm ET LIVE on USA Network.
