WWE HONORS DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. #WWE #WWEMoms

Written by lyricsmama on January 19, 2015 – 12:25 PM -

For Americans, today is a holiday for most. It’s not about a day off, it’s not about shopping on a day you don’t have to work. It’s a day to remember and reflect on a man who changed how the USA works today, and the other great people who were a part of the civil rights movement.

WWE Honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with this amazing video tribute. Please watch, and share with your own followers, today is a day to remember, a dream was made, and we can as a country continue to let that dream grow into something Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would be proud of.

Register Today For The #WWE Wrestlemania Reading Challenge #WWEMoms

Written by lyricsmama on January 15, 2015 – 9:29 PM -

WMRC

WWE isn’t always about entertainment and wrestling, sometimes its about education and kids! Once again during the road to Wrestlemania, WWE and First Book have announced the 2015 Wrestlemania Reading Challenge.

This program brings kids together with literacy, and their favorite WWE Superstars to show them how important reading is.

Now through Sunday February 22, kids can register to start the Wrestlemania Reading Challenge by visiting newdayWWEReadingSuperstar.com. There they will enter their birthday so they will be able to participate in the age appropriate challenge, once they’ve done that they will pick their WWE Superstar reading buddy. Once they’ve chosen their reading buddy, they can then start reading digital books in the appropriate age group. My daughter registered once again this year, and again chose her WWE Superstar reading buddy to be Kofi Kingston.

The Wrestlemania Reading Challenge along with their partnership with First Book’s digital reading initiative, We Give Books allows children ages 4-12 participate in reading digital books, while older kids ages 13-18 can select their favorite WWE Superstar as a pen pal, where they can read a book, and then write an essay.

“WWE is proud to partner with First Book and continue our long-standing commitment to education and literacy initiatives through the WrestleMania Reading Challenge,” said Stephanie McMahon, Chief Brand Officer, WWE. “Together, we are providing a fun and engaging experience to encourage children of all ages to read.”

Not only will your kids be able to read alongside their favorite WWE Superstar, but by registering for the WWE Wrestlemania Reading Challenge, you have a chance to win a trip for two to Wrestlemania 31 at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, CA. You also have the chance to win books for your school or community library!

To support literacy initiatives across the Unite States, WWE not only makes a financial contribution to First Book but the WWE Superstars and Divas also host reading celebrations and visit kids and local schools and libraries to stress how important reading is.

For more information or to participate in the WrestleMania Reading Challenge, visit WWEReadingSuperstar.com.

This coming February, in order to promote the WWE Wrestlemania Reading Challenge WWEMoms will be hosting another Twitter Party, we hope you’ll join us in both registering for the Wrestlemania Reading Challenge and celebrating and getting the word out about it with us.

#WWEMoms Twitter Party – Get Fit With #WWE Fit Series and Stephanie McMahon

Written by lyricsmama on January 5, 2015 – 10:06 PM -

So If you read my first post of 2015 you’ll see that i have some goals for the year, one of them being to get healthy, loose weight. Yea Yea, I know everyone has that same goal in January, but I was doing so before then, got off track from being sick, and then the holidays, so now i’m getting back ON track again with the help of the WWE.

Not only am I following John Cena’s Changetime plan, doing his workouts, doing DDP Yoga, but I’ve also added in working out with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. WWE finally answered my plea that I’ve had for years and came out with workout DVDs for their fans.

wwe-workout-series-promo

WWE Fit Series includes a Stephanie McMahon DVD where you can workout like a WWE Diva right in your own home. WWE Power Series has the Triple H DVD where you can get buff at home, without the gym and without the expensive cost and equipment. I hope they add more WWE Superstars and Diva’s to the lines soon, I’d love to see more workouts, I think a Fitness/Workout show on the WWE Network would be a huge success! (Hint Hint WWE)

I’ll be joining Stephanie McMahon tomorrow for my very first workout!  Never been so excited to do a workout DVD before, but hey, when you’re a huge fan like me, it doesn’t take much!

This Thursday January 8th at 7pm ET Join myself (@wrestlingaddict) as well as @WWEMoms and special guest @StephMcMahon as we talk to Stephanie about the WWE Fit Series DVD and why she wanted the WWE Universe to workout with her in their homes.

Total Divas Returns 1/4/15 – Join #WWEMoms For A Total Divas Twitter Party!

Written by lyricsmama on December 27, 2014 – 1:15 PM -

Join myself and the other for a special Twitter Party celebrating the return of Total Divas on E! Party is 1/4/15 at 7pm ET, visit the post to find out how to RSVP to win some amazing prizes!

Total Divas is back in January for another drama filled season! Airing again on E! Starting January 4th at 10/9 CT and then returning to its regular time slot at 9/8 CT beginning Jan. 11.

Total Divas promises to be another great season, however, this season we loose Naomi (Trinity Fatu) which I am not a happy camper about, she’s one of my favorite Divas and one of the most talented, plus I like seeing her and her hubby on Total Divas, one of the main reasons I watch. Alas, we move on and WWE has introduced two new Divas to the show, Paige and Alicia Fox. Neither are a favorite of mine, but hubby seems to be happy since his loss of one now let him gain two that he loves!

Paige is a former WWE Divas Champion and has been wrestling since she was 13, she was also the first NXT Women’s Champion. Alicia Fox was the first African-American woman to win the Divas Championship in the WWE, she’s also crazy in the ring, but super nice in person as I got the chance to meet her at a live WWE event a few months ago.

Ned to catch up on Total Divas?  Watch FULL episodes of Total Divas on WWE NETWORK: http://bit.ly/1tpLhO9

Paige and Alicia Fox will join the rest of the cast featuring The Bella Twins, Cameron, Nattie, Summer Rae, Eva Marie and Rosa Mendez. Join myself (@Wrestlingaddict) and the rest of the WWEMoms as we celebrate the new season on January 4th with a Twitter Party!!!

When: Sunday, January 4, 2015
Time: 7:00 – 8:00 pm ET / 4:00 – 5:00 pm PT
Hashtag: #WWEMoms

From corporate.wwe.com:

In the tradition of Bob Hope, WWE brings together the best of entertainment and pop culture with celebrity appearances and performances for our servicemen and women to celebrate their dedication and commitment to our country with a holiday program that is considered one of television’s most patriotic and heartwarming shows. NBCUniversal joins WWE in saluting our troops with special messages from some of their networks’ biggest names such as TODAY anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Natalie Morales, and Al Roker, Seth Meyers, The Kardashians, Andy Cohen, Giuliana Rancic, Katherine Heigl, Lester Holt, Padma Lakshmi, Mark Feuerstein, Debra Messing, Tom Brokaw, Rachel Maddow and Carson Daly, as well as the coaches of The Voice, Pharrell Williams, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

“For 12 consecutive years, WWE has been entertaining American military personnel both overseas and domestically as a way to thank them for their commitment to our country,” said WWE Chairman & CEO, Vince McMahon. “Our servicemen and women work tirelessly for our freedom and we are proud to continue our Tribute to the Troops tradition.”

WWE Tribute to the Troops will chronicle WWE’s visit to United States Army post Fort Benning, where WWE Superstars and Divas will spend two days giving back to those who serve and their families with hospital visits and Be a STAR anti-bullying rallies. Fort Benning supports more than 120,000 active-duty military, family members, reserve soldiers, retirees, and civilian employees and has been the home of the Infantry division since 1918.

The television special will also highlight WWE’s annual goodwill visit to our troops who are fighting for our freedom overseas. WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon, WWE Superstars Big Show® and R-Truth® and WWE Divas Summer Rae™ and Alicia Fox™ will travel abroad to spread some holiday cheer to the men and women serving our country far from home during the holiday season.

WWE has always been dedicated to showing our military respect and honor all year long. They try to boos morale to the soldiers who are fans by offering free tickets to any of their shows to active servicemen and women as well as providing work assistance to veterans through their partnership with Hire Heroes USA.
