A Woman and Family Who Loves The WWE #WWEMoms #WWE #WM28
In the 80s I was like most girls, watched My Little Pony, had a cute little Popple but late at night, I always snuck and watched wrestling! I was a kid, Macho Man and Hulk Hogan, Junkyard Dog and Miss Elizabeth were always favorites at the time, but as I grew, wrestling was not a part of my life.
That was until I met a friend of mine when we were in college, my friend Jay who was a HUGE wrestling fan and I’ll never forget the picture I first saw of The Rock. Who Was THAT? And I was intrigued once again. The year 1999 was the year that I officially became a wrestling addict! I went to my very first wrestling match that year at The Skydome, and saw The Rock live in person for the first time. In Ontario at the time, (and I think they still do this but not sure) they used to show the wrestling pay per views at the movie theater, we didn’t miss a one! I remember being at a bar one night out in Toronto and who did a few of us girls see? But Edge! No one knew who he was but me… Excitement!!!
As the years went by, I met my husband, and low and
behold, another huge wrestling fan. I think it was a shock to his system that I too loved it. Although, he was way more into it than I was, heck I was a girl, I watched it mostly for the yummy men!
I went to my very first Wrestlemania with him. Wrestlemania 18 in Toronto Ontario, and met Shawn Michaels and got as close as I could get to The Rock and his dad, I even got a wave and a smile. I must say, going to your first Wrestlemania the wrestling bug gets into your blood even MORE!
When me and my husband got married, we walked into our reception with The Rock’s entrance music.
I can’t tell you how many live and televised show’s we’ve been to together, there’s been a lot. Whenever they come close or come to town, we’re almost always at a WWE show! I can however tell you that I’ve been to two Wrestlemania’s. 18 and 23 (Toronto and Detroit). Although Wrestlemania 18 is memorable as it was The Rock vs. Hogan and my very first, Wrestlemania 23 will always be in my head because that’s when I cried and was brought to tears by meeting my favorite wrestler at the time Batista!
Since then, I’ve started my blog, I’ve actually got friends in the industry now, and have met a
ton of wrestlers in person. We’ve also made it a family affair now that our kids are older, when WWE comes to town, we not only go to the shows as a family, but we also do what I call ‘stalking’ as a family now as well. I’ve always been a huge ‘stalker’ whenever WWE comes to town, we always make it a point to leave early in the day, to see all of the wrestlers arrive at the arena and that’s exactly how I’ve gotten so many autographs and made connections in the wrestling industry.
The girls don’t get to watch wrestling every night, and at first I wasn’t sure they would. But my oldest daughter Lyric is right into it, she has her favorites and she’s met some of them as well. I’ll never forget when she yelled out to John Morrison “Will You Be My Boyfriend” when she was about 4 and how when my youngest at 2 saw Mark Henry for the first time and thought he was a big
monkey… We’ve taken them to shows, they’ve had a blast cheering, booing and getting us to spend their money on merchandise.
Honestly, some people will think it’s too violent for kids, and we’ve had a talk to our kids about it because my oldest did start to try to ‘wrestle’ with her sister while wearing her WWE Diva shirt. But WWE has actually become a family tradition for a lot of us. Going to the shows bring us together, it’s something we do as a family, something we enjoy and something we can bond over. If you look, most of the wrestlers can tell you the same stories as them growing up as children, the enjoyment they had, the time they spent with their dad’s watching wrestling, and I’m sure their mom’s can tell you stories of watching them grow up and trying to get into the industry. At one time, my 8 year old told us as well as some of our friends that she wanted to be a WWE Diva one day, that time has since passed but hey, if that’s what she wants to do when she’s grown, the more power to her!
WWE and wrestling is a staple in our home. Monday nights, Friday nights and one Sunday a month, you’ll find myself and my husband glued to the tv, tweeting about the shows and enjoying time together as a family. It may not be the perfect family photo of having us watch a bunch of men and women beat each other up while listening to some dramatic storyline that sometimes gets a little ridiculous, but hey, it’s our family photo and we love it!
With Wrestlemania 28 coming up on April 1st, and having The Rock vs. Cena it brings back memories of my first Wrestlemania where Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock was the big draw, the passing of the torch happens in wrestling, and I hope the tradition of wrestling gets passed down within our family as well.
Be sure to tweet with myself and the other WWE Moms all week by following our hashtag #WWEMoms on Twitter even if your a mom or not, and don’t forget to join us for our first Twitter Chat on March 27th at 8pm, talk wrestling and win great prizes!

Online Shopping – Discounts and Voucher Codes
Shopping online has become something almost everyone does now, it’s a dominant force on the internet, but a lot of people don’t realize that they can find great discounts online by simply using Google and looking for discount coupons or vouchers.
The web is a very important tool in locating discounts and it’s really not that hard to find them since the arrival of blogs, and websites that offer the bargain hunter a simpler way to find all those promotional and voucher codes. They’re almost a staple now for online shopping sites, in order to gain the customer and peek interest in social media, you must find ways to catch the bargain hunters attention.
Online Discount vouchers are growing at an immense rate, and drive more than 4 billion dollars in online retail sales last year alone. In 12 months, the market has grown by over 22%.
If you’re an online business or start up online business give discount codes and vouchers a thought. Not only will it allow your customers to save, but it will get the word out in social media by others who’d like to share their discount finds.
Web savvy consumers are very aware of the ways to find discounts, and if one business is offering their products with a promotional code and the other is not, you can bet that the consumer will always choose the discount first.

What Would You Do To Change Yourself?
Have you ever thought about changing something about you? I don’t mean your attitude, or to spend more time with your kids, I’m talking about changing something about YOU, and your appearance!
I admit, I’ve really thought about surgery to change my weight, and to change my looks, maybe a little lipo, a tuck here and there. But, what I’ve always said I’d want to do if I had any surgery at all would be to have breast implants.
I’m really not in it to change their size totally, more of to fix them from gravity and having children. Do I think it would make me feel better about myself? YOU BET! Is it something I need to have done, nope no way, but I’d do it to help my own self esteem!
My husband seems to disagree with me wanting to do it to change my looks, well that and just the cost of breast implants! So I guess it’s good he loves me for me, but sometimes I have to think about doing something for myself to keep myself happy.
Would you do it? Have you thought about it? Would you change yourself with surgery in one way or another and do you think it would help change the way you feel about yourself?
I’ve said, once I hit my weight loss goal this is something I’d really like to look into.. FOR ME!
